1. Make It Big

Use the Font group on the Home Ribbon to make the word “Michigan” big, bold and blue. The default Font size is 11 pts. Look for the small down arrow by the number 11 and select 28 from the list.

2. Make It Bold

Go to Home->Font.

Click on "B" for  Bold in the Font Group.

3. Make It Blue

Now, make it blue by going to the button on the far right: it’s a letter “A” with a color bar underneath. See the little arrow to the right? Click on it to bring up the color palette.

The Live Preview in Office 2013 lets you see your changes as you sweep the color palette with your mouse.
