Use a Table for Web Pages 

Good web pages are created with a table—or grid—to keep everything in its place.

 

Before You Begin: Add a Blank Line

Place your cursor after the word “site” and hit the Enter key to add a new blank line.

 

Try it: Insert a Table

Go to Insert ->Tables->Table-> Insert Table.

 

What Do You See?   A little window will prompt you to enter the dimensions. 

 

Enter the Table Size:

Number of Columns: 3

Number of Rows: 2

 

Click OK and keep going...

Memo to Self: By default, the Table will be created with a Fixed column width. You can choose to AutoFit to the contents in the Table or the window that holds the Table.
