Another Way to Navigate

A Bookmark is a method for selecting and naming a place in your document. Word uses Bookmarks to mark a place in a document. You can link to a Bookmark with a hyperlink.


Before You Begin: Download the Sample File There is a sample file for this lesson: Fruit and Nuts.docx. Please download it and save it to your Documents folder.

It is a one-page document with four headlines and four or five paragraphs. The four headlines will be used to create Bookmarks for the hyperlinks. Create A New Web Page.

Here's the Plan: Begin this exercise by creating a simple web page. There will be a headline, a table for the topics, and a story with Bookmarks.

1. Try it: Open a New, Blank Document

Enter a headline: Charlotte’s Garden.

Format the Font: Broadway, 18 pt. Bold.
Go ahead, make it Green.
