The Format Painter

The Format Painter is a useful tool that works well. You can use the Format Painter to copy your Styles from formatted text to other text so they match.

Try It: Use the Format Painter

Select: any formatted text.

Go to Home ->Clipboard-> Format Painter.

What Do You See? The Format Painter looks like a paint brush. When you select any formatted type and click on the Format Painter, your mouse will have a painter brush. Whatever you "brush" with your mouse will update to the format you picked up from the text you selected at the start.

What Else Do You See? The Format Painter and the Styles are also available on the little formatting Ribbon when you select any text.
