Exam 77-422: Microsoft PowerPoint 2013
3.0 Create Slide Content
3.1 Insert and Format Text: Apply Formatting and Styles to Text

Format the Font

The Home Ribbon has a rich set of options for formatting the Text. The Font Group includes Font (type face), Size, Style, (Bold, Italic, Underline, Shadow), Character Spacing and Color. Let's look at the options.

4. Try it: Format the Text

Go to Slide 4.

Double click the word Flowers to select it.

Go to Home->Font->Font.

Select Broadway from the list of Fonts.

What Do You See? Microsoft PowerPoint offers a Live Preview as you run the mouse over the Fonts in the list.

Keep going...

Memo to Self: Should you use plain or fancy Fonts? The decorative type faces are fun and each one invokes a different feeling. Fancy Fonts work best on Titles. Smaller text is easier to read if it is san serif (plain, no curly cues) such as Arial, Helvetica and Tahoma.
