Advanced: Search Options

The Search settings can be found in the Options. You can change the Sources and the Results.

 

Indexing a small collection of files makes the searches very fast. You can choose which folders and drives you would like to include in the index. Adding ALL of the folders on your drive defeats the definition of a "small collection." By default, the program files are excluded from the index: there's no data there.

 

1. Try it: Review the Search Options

Go to File ->Options ->Search.

 

What Do You See? The Results options are: Include results only from: Current folder

Display results as query is typed

Improve speed by limited number of results shown

Highlight search terms

Highlight color.

Notify when results might be limited because search indexing is not complete.

File ->Options ->Search
