Exam 77-423: Microsoft Outlook 2013
2.0 Manage Messages
2.1 Create a Message: Request Delivery/Read Receipt

Respond to a Read Receipt

3. Try This: Respond the Read Receipt

In our example, there should be a new E-mail with the subject, "Read All About It" in your Inbox. Double-Click to open that E-mail.

What Do You See?
Microsoft Outlook will prompt you about sending a Read Receipt. You can choose Yes or No. You also have the option to turn off this prompt if you wish.

Try This, Too: Send the Read Receipt
Click Yes. Outlook will automatically send a Read Receipt. A Read Receipt has a small icon with a green check mark.

Memo to Self: Unlike the Delivery Receipt, people can decide whether or not to notify you when they read your E-mail. For some, it is an issue of privacy. For others, receipts are required for work.
