3.2 Look Up Data with Functions: Use the HLOOKUP Function

Create the Lookup Table

This Lookup table will calculate when the invoices will be paid based on the aging: 30. 60, 90 days. The Lookup Table will determine the aging by the amount owed in the Total column.

3. Try it: Create the Lookup Table

Select Cell G1 and type: Amount.
Select Cell G2 and type: Net Pay.

If these are labels (and they are) then they should be formatted BOLD.

Select Cell H1 and type: 1,000
Select Cell I1 and type: 5,000

Select Cell J1 and type: 10,000

Select Cell K1 and type: 20,000

Select H1:K1 and format the numbers for accounting. ($)

Select Cell H2 and type: 30
Select Cell I2 and type: 45

Select Cell J2 and type: 60

Select Cell K2 and type: 90
