View: Freeze Panes

Freeze Pane is similar to Split, however the Pane is "frozen," or locked into place. A Pane can be a Row, a Column or a Range.

7. Try This, Also: Freeze the Top Row

Open a sample Excel file, first.

The workbook is in Normal View, no Split.

Go to View->Window-> Freeze Panes.

Select: Freeze Top Row

What Do You See? The top row is frozen. It will remain anchored at the top of the screen as you scroll down to, say Row 57.
