Picture This!

It is interesting to note that people think in pictures as well as in words and numbers. For some, thinking in pictures is how they understand what the data, or math, means. This lesson introduces how to add pictures to your spreadsheets. These pages also introduce the options available in the Picture Tools. As you walk through the lessons and learn the options, consider how you can use graphics to picture your data.

 

Go ahead—Start Microsoft Excel. When the Welcome screen appears, select a new, blank workbook.
What do you see from the top of the screen? Is there a Home Ribbon? And the Insert, Page Layout, Formulas, Data. Review and View Ribbons as well? Yes. Then you are ready to get started.
