4.1 Create Advanced Chart Elements: Create Custom Chart Templates

Create a Custom Chart Style

This Custom Chart Style will be designed for our little company: Charlotte's Website. Their corporate color is green. The formatting will be applied to the Chart Colors as well as the Chart Background. We will use the same Custom Color that we applied to the Cell Styles.

 

5. Try it: Change the Chart Design

Select the Chart.
The Chart Tools should be available.
Go to Chart Tools ->Design->Chart Styles.
Go to Change Colors->Monochromatic.
Click on Green.

Yes, Try This, Too: Apply a Custom Color
Click on the Chart Background.
Go to Chart Tools ->Format->Shape Styles.
Go to Shape Fill->Recent Colors.
Click on Green.

What Do You See? The Shape Fill includes Theme and Standard Colors. The new Custom Color is shown in the Recent category.
