3.2 Modify a Query: Remove a Field

Remove a Field

Say you added the Rating Field a couple of times as you were practicing. Here are the steps to Remove a Field.

 

Before You Begin: Add Another Field

MovieSQ is still open in Design View.
Go to tblMovies.

Double-click a Field: Rating.

 

What Do You See? There should be two copies of the Rating Field in the QBE Grid.

 

2. Try it: Remove a Field

Select the second Rating Field by clicking on the Field Header. The whole column should be highlighted (black).

 

Delete the second Rating Field.

Go to Query Tools ->Design->Query Setup.

Click on Delete Columns.

 

What Do You See, Now? The second Rating Column should be removed.
