Design Considerations

7. Design Considerations

What should you look for when you test a Form? Here are some thoughts you might consider. Most people TAB to the next Form Field as they type in the information. Did your Form automatically TAB to the next logical Field, or did it bounce around the Form like a ping pong ball?

People like similar objects to be grouped together. Are all of the Form Fields for the Address in the same area? In the example on this page, the Zip Field is not located near the rest of the Address Fields.

Did the Home Phone Field use the Input Mask that you added in tblCustomer?

The Form Wizard is a good start, but it is just a start. The next pages introduce the wonderful programming options that are available in a different View.
